At the Fall Fair. Charlotte rode a pony.
Robbie was not impresses with the petting zoo. He was terrified of the cows, the goats, this llama. Look at his lean.
Charlotte on the other hand loved the petting zoo. She fed all the animals and even gave the calmer ones hugs and (ewww) kisses.

Back at home we love the leaves... we go out whenever we can. Here Robbie is about to 'get Mommy'

Showing me her leaves.

Going Fishing, out neighbour Shawn took us out on his boat.

Robbie driving the boat.
I was a bit luckier than Mike, here I am with the first two fish.
Charlotte holding the fish. We had a hard time getting her to put them down. And when the fish were in the cooler her and Robbie would watch them 'dance' around and laugh. In total we caught about a dozen.
Mike with his Catch of the Day. This photo makes me laugh so hard, not just because of how happy Mike is, but because he was happy that he got to put his fish back. I still giggle when I think of the Tall Tale this fish got to go home and tell his fish friends. The Tale of the Big Blue One who let him go.

It's A.............

GIRL!!!

Amazingly, we have gone Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl! We are so excited and so surprised. I was sure I was having another boy. Everything felt boy, especially the fatigue. I was sick during the early stage of this pregnancy, but nothing like I was with Charlotte so girl wasn't really on my radar.

As for those traditionalists who like to wait until the baby is born to find out the gender... sorry for ruining it for you. But we will keep the name a secret, how's that? However I must say that finding out early takes nothing away from the surprise or joy. In some ways it makes it even more special now we can name her, and I find I am instantly more attached when I can call her a 'She' and not an 'It'.

The ultrasound went really well. She is perfect in size and shape, and just like in her big sisters ultrasound her mouth was flapping. Another chatter- box prehaps??? This should be intersting, two boys and a girl, with poor Robbie stuck in the middle. One thing that won't surprise me is if in a few years I see one girl painting Robbie's fingers and the other painting his toes. He already likes nail polish, ponytails and yesterday got the most excited at the store when he saw Barbies, so I'm sure he'll do fine with a big and a little sister.

Okay, Okay, I wasn't true to my word and am a little tardy at my updates. No real reason, just haven't gotten around to it. Mike's parents left last week, and since then we've really just been trying to get back into the swing of things. It is amazing how fast a week flies by when you work 5 days and with the commute it takes 9 - 10 hours out of my day. We have also been squeezing more into our weeks like swimming, library visits, supper at grandmas etc. This past weekend we also got the kids some new (but actually 2nd hand, because that is my style) skates, and a brand new helmet for Robbie, so skating will soon become part of our weeks. As for the helmet, part of me thinks Robbie should wear one all day long. And after his last 3 falls, perhaps we should have gotten a face shield for him as well. One fall was at daycare, but from what I understand another boy fell on him, and Robbie landed face first. His third fall was down the cement stairs at our neighbours house and he scrapped the side of his head, apparently he was reaching for a spider. But the 2nd fall was the worst, this time what I understand is that he was jumping on the bed and came into contact with the wooden bed frame. The collision was enough to jar a tooth loose. Mike called me at work telling me his tooth was bleeding. I didn't think much, because this was Robbie and if any kid actually bounces it is him. But when I saw the tooth later, not only was it crooked but it is loose and wiggly. I called the dentist and we need to do our best to keep it in (otherwise they'll have to space it). So far so good. It hasn't changed colour, the gums look fine and we just want it to firm up and stop wiggling.

Tomorrow we are heading to the doctor for an ultra sound. We are hoping the little miss or mister cooperates because both of us would like to know the sex of the baby. I could say that I'll post it tomorrow, but my track record hasn't been good at posting. So I'll get the 'news' up as soon as I can. Charlotte is coming to the doctor's with us but Robbie is going to daycare. Honestly he won't get it or care for that matter, and I really don't feel like paying for broken hospital equipment. Besides he loves daycare, so I'm sure he'll be fine. When I asked Charlotte if she wanted to come to the doctor so we could see some pictures of the baby in mommy's belly she lifted my shirt, stretched my belly button and got right up close with one eye. Then she looked up at me and said "I can't see anything". Kids can be too funny.

Here are some photos.

One of my favorite things to do is spend a warm September day in the Valley. Here we are Apple and Pear Picking.

Robbie getting the best ones right at the top.
Pull, Pull, Pull!! except for Robbie, look at his apple, I think he was saying Eat, Eat, Eat!!!

Charlotte so proud. This was before she started her quest for an completely red apple.
Heading home after a day of Apple and Pear picking.

Showing off some of the 'loot'

The kids also got to pick their Pumpkins. We didn't head into the fields this year, and decided to simply pick from the ones that were already brought to the front.

Robbie trying to pick up his pumpkin. Not so smart.
Pretending to drive the tractor.
On our wagon ride.

The whole crew!
Off to Noggin's Corner. Robbie enjoyed the duck races but was really not in the mood. He was tired and needed a nap. So after our picnic Mike and his dad took Robbie for a drive.

Charlotte however was still going strong.

Here she is leading us through a corn maze.

Apparently the Grandma's didn't have much faith in the navigation skills of a 3 year old and brought along the HELP flag.

I just had to add this series of photos... here Charlotte is coming out of the super fast, very steep slide that lands in a pile of hay.

And here is my mom (oh so gracefully) coming out of the same slide. Believe me she is there, you just may not see her...

But when the dust settles... there she is!

I have other photos of the past few weeks for example our trip to White Point, the bouncy castle, the kids at swimming, but honestly after adding all of these I'll have to do them another day.
